Frogfruit (Phyla nodiflora) is a low-growing, spreading native perennial. It forms a dense, mat-like ground cover with small, serrated leaves and produces tiny, white to pale lavender flower heads that bloom from spring to fall. This hardy plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and tolerates a wide range of soils, including poor, sandy, or clay types. Highly drought-tolerant once established, it is often used in xeriscaping, as a lawn alternative, or in pollinator gardens to attract butterflies and bees. Deer-resistant.
